Framing Rises at the West End

Framing Rises at the West End

2107 E. Monte Vista Avenue, Denair, CA 95316

What's happening right now

The framing crew has assembled and raised all four walls of the elevator shaft, creating the structure that will hold the elevator. They have also been framing interior and exterior walls at the west end of the church, including the stairways and lobby areas. Shear walls are now complete between the staircases and in the lobby.

This west end will hold much of the church's daily life. Downstairs will be the restrooms, two offices, the candle room, the AV room, and the gift shop. Upstairs will be the priest's office, an additional office, and the choir balcony. Two bell towers will rise above the roof.

Why this phase matters

Framing is the skeleton of the building. For the first time, you can stand on the site and see where the walls, stairs, and rooms will be. Shear walls are framed walls built to resist sideways forces like wind and earthquakes, so they help keep the whole structure steady.

What's next

Next, the crew will begin framing the east wing, which holds the altar area.

We're grateful for the crew's steady work and for everyone praying over this project.
